It feels nice to see a familiar face after a while.
But being surrounded by strangers is also pretty peaceful.
They know you for a brief moment. They know you by the mood you were in at that moment, the clothes you wore that day, what you said to them, how you made them feel.
You may click. You may never see each other again.
Both ways are comfortable.
Familiar faces are a lot more effort.
Too many points of reference.
I am increasingly disliking cumulative memory.
And more so how people use that cumulative memory.
